1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
6 Tablespoons lime juice
2 Tablespoons minced fresh mint
2 teaspoons grated lime peel
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
8 cups melon balls or cubes
Minted lime dip
1 cup of sour cream
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon lime juice
2 teaspoons grated lime peel
In a bowl, combine the sugar, water, lime juice, mint, lime peel and ginger . Add melon balls or cubes. Cover and refrigerate for 1-6 hours. Thread melon onto wooden skewers or toothpicks.
In a bowl, combine dip ingredients Serve with melon
Makes 8 cups of fruit and 1 cup dip.
